Command Post at Luxemborg City
The CP at Luxembourg City. This CP, the A.R.B.E.D. building, was first occupied by Advance Headquarters on 8 January 1945. Later, when Advance had moved on into Germany, Rear Headquarters moved into the building.

Officer's billets at Nancy, France
The officers' billets at the Excelsior Hotel in Nancy. The CP at Nancy opened while German troops were still on the west side of the Moselle to the north of Nancy and shelling the local airfield. The stay was marked by bad weather, 280 mm railroad-gun shells, and a hospitable civilian population.

Command Post at Etain
CP at Etain, France. Occupied by XIX TAC Advance Headquarters on 23 September 1944, the CP was approximately 15 miles from Third Army troops who were assaulting tough Maginot Line defenses before Metz. Location of CP and bad Lorraine weather made it a popular hostel for XIX TAC pilots returning from attacks on the Metz fortifications.
