    Lineage. Constituted 48th Air Rescue Squadron on 17 Oct 1952. Activated on 14 Nov 1952.     Lineage.  Established as 480 Antisubmarine Group (Separate) on 19 Jun 1943.  Activated on 21 Jun 1943.  Disestablished on 29 Jan 1944.  Reestablished, and consolidated (31 Jul 1985) with the 580 Air Resupply and Communications Wing, which was established on 15 Mar 1951.  Activated on 16 Apr 1951.

     Lineage.  Organized as 70 Aero Squadron on 13 Aug 1917.  Redesignated as 482 Aero Squadron on 1 Feb 1918.  Demobilized on 18 Mar 1919.  Reconstituted and consolidated (1936) with 482 Bombardment Squadron, which was constituted and allotted to the Reserve on 31 Mar 1924.  Activated c. Mar 1925.
