Inside the Stacks
Due to the magnitude of our collection, AFHRA measures our inventory in linear feet instead of by document. One linear foot is about the size of one standard records box which typically holds anywhere from 4,000 to 4,500 sheets of paper. Currently our stacks manager, Mr. Juan Rackley, is tracking our collection at 82,000 linear feet with most of our boxes being filled to capacity. Therefore, we have roughly 369,000,000 paper documents in our collection at this time and that does not account for our rapidly growing digital collection.
