Flexible gunnery training
Typical of the soldiers volunteering to become aerial gunners is Pvt. Alfred C. Edwards of Richmond, Va.. Manipulation of the reflex sights on the Martin turret is one of the most important jobs he has to learn. The corporal is a bit fed up here, but Pvt. Edwards gets the idea. He is trying to focus on a moving target in the air. Apparently, from the expression of the instructor, he isn't keeping up. He has to shoot ahead of the target at least forty feet from his position to hit it.
