(Aero Club of America Land Plane Pilot Certificate No. 318, April 1915). Career assignments include: various duties as company and field grade officer, 1915-1932; Commanding Officer, Rockwell Air Depot, 1932-1934; Staff Member, G-4, War Department General Staff, 1935-1938; Commanding Officer, Luke Field, 1938; Base Commander, Hickam Field, 1939; Commander, 5th Air Base Group, 1940; Staff Member, Inspector General's Department, 1941; Staff Member, HQ AAF, 1942; Commanding General, Middle East Wing, Air Transport Command and Commanding General, US Army Air Forces in Central Africa, 1942. Retired November 1946. Died at Good Samaritan Hospital, CA.
