Reconstituted, and redesignated 78 Air Base Squadron, on 3 Jan 1952. Activated on 1 Feb 1952. Inactivated on 16 Feb 1953. Activated on 28 Dec 1960. Organized on 1 Feb 1961. Discontinued, and inactivated, on 1 Jul 1964. Redesignated 78 Mission Support Squadron on 16 Sep 1994. Activated on 1 Oct 1994. Redesignated 78 Force Support Squadron on 1 Jul 2008.
