Disbanded on 30 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 479 Training Support Squadron on 13 Jun 2001. Activated on 9 Jul 2001. Redesignated as 479 Operations Support Squadron on 15 Jul 2003. Inactivated on 30 Sep 2007. Activated on 2 Oct 2009.
