Redesignated as 3 Mobile Communications Group, and activated on 20 May 1964. Organized on 1 Jul 1964. Redesignated as: 3 Combat Communications Group on 24 Mar 1976; 3 Combat Information Systems Group on 15 Aug 1984; 3 Combat Communications Group on 1 Oct 1986.
