Lineage.  Constituted as 434 Air Police on 8 Sep 1950.  Activated in the Reserve on 1 Oct 1950.  Ordered to Active Service on 1 May 1951.  Relieved from Active Duty on 15 Dec 1952.  Inactivated on 1 Feb 1953.  Activated in the Reserve on 1 Feb 1953.  Ordered to Active Service on 28 Oct 1962.  Relieved from Active Duty on 28 Nov 1962.  Discontinued, and inactivated, on 11 Feb 1963.  Redesignated as: 434 Security Police Squadron on 12 Oct 1984; 434 Weapons System Security Flight on 25 Nov 1986.  Activated in the Reserve on 1 Dec 1986.  Redesignated as: 434 Security Police Flight on 15 Aug 1988; 434 Security Police Squadron on 1 Oct 1992; 434 Security Forces Squadron on 1 Jul 1997.
