Lineage.  Constituted as 14 Communications Squadron (Regional Control) on 14 Apr 1942.  Activated on 18 Apr 1942.  Redesignated as 14 Airways Communication Squadron on 10 Oct 1942.  Disbanded on 12 Jan 1943.  Reconstituted on 5 Nov 2003.  Redesignated as 614 Space Communications Squadron on 5 Nov 2003.  Activated on 23 Jan 2004.  Redesignated as 614 Air and Space Communications Squadron on 17 Jun 2011.  Changed status from a unit of United States Air Force armed force to a unit of United States Space Force armed force on 21 Oct 2020.  Redesignated as 65 Cyberspace Squadron on 22 Sep 2021.
