Lineage.  Constituted as 91 Air Police Squadron, Strategic Reconnaissance on 11 Oct 1948.  Activated on 10 Nov 1948.  Redesignated as 91 Air Police Squadron on 16 Mar 1950.  Inactivated on 28 May 1952.  Redesignated as 91 Combat Defense Squadron and activated, on 15 Nov 1962.  Organized on 1 Feb 1963.  Redesignated as 91 Security Police Squadron on 2 Jul 1967.  Discontinued, and inactivated, on 25 Jun 1968.  Activated on 1 Aug 1972.  Inactivated on 22 Jun 1988. Activated on 1 Dec 1995.  Redesignated as 91 Security Forces Squadron on 1 Jul 1997; 91 Missile Security Forces Squadron on 24 Jan 2003.
