    Lineage.  Constituted as 18 Bombardment Squadron (Heavy) on 20 Nov 1940.  Activated on 15 Jan 1941.  Inactivated on 28 Aug 1945.  Consolidated (19 Sep 1985) with the 18 Special Operations Squadron, which was constituted on 18 Jan 1969.  Activated on 25 Jan 1969.  Inactivated on 31 Dec 1972.

    Lineage.  Designated as 97 Maintenance and Supply Group on 11 Sep 1947.  Organized on 1 Dec 1947.  Discontinued on 12 Jul 1948.  Consolidated (19 Sep 1995) with the 97 Maintenance and Supply Group, which was established on 28 May 1948.  Activated on 12 July 1948.  Inactivated on 10 Feb 1951.

    Lineage.  Designated as Maintenance Squadron, 97 Maintenance and Supply Group on 11 Sep 1947.  Organized on 1 Dec 1947.  Discontinued on 12 Jul 1948.  Consolidated (22 Oct 1984) with the 97 Maintenance Squadron, Bombardment, Medium, which was constituted on 28 May 1948.  Activated on 12 Jul 1948.
