Lineage.  Constituted as 81 Station Medical Group, and activated, on 1 May 1948.  Redesignated as 81 Medical Group on 16 Jul 1949; 81 Tactical Infirmary on 8 Mar 1954; 81 Tactical Hospital on 15 Mar 1956.  Inactivated on 30 Jun 1971.  Redesignated as 81 Medical Group on 16 Jun 1993.  Activated on 1 Jul 1993.  Established as 81 Medical Group on 25 Aug 1994.
