38 Engineering Squadron (ACC)

Lineage.  Constituted as 38 Aviation Squadron (Separate) on 8 May 1942.  Activated on 16 May 1942.  Redesignated as 38 Aviation Squadron on 1 Apr 1943.  Disbanded on 12 Apr 1944.  Reconstituted, and consolidated (8 Mar 1985) with 38 Installations Squadron, Bombardment, Light, which was constituted on 10 Aug 1948.  Activated on 18 Aug 1948.  Inactivated on 1 Apr 1949.  Redesignated as 38 Installations Squadron on 15 Nov 1952.  Activated on 1 Jan 1953.  Inactivated on 18 Jun 1958.  Redesignated as 38 Civil Engineering Squadron, and activated, on 10 Sep 1962.  Organized on 25 Sep 1962.  Discontinued, and inactivated, on 25 Sep 1966.  Activated on 1 Dec 1973.  Inactivated on 1 Dec 1975.  Redesignated as 38 Engineering Squadron on 22 Dec 2011.  Activated on 6 Jan 2012.
