Commissioned Second Lieutenant, Field Artillery Reserve, June 1923 and served to grade of First Lieutenant, 1923-1927; Flying Cadet, 1927-1928; appointed, Second Lieutenant, Air Reserve, October 1928. Career assignments include: various duties as company and field grade officer, 1928-1939; successively Assistant to the Chief, Plans Division, Office of Chief of Air Corps, Section Chief and Deputy Chief of Air Staff, HQ USAAF, 1939-1943; Chief of Staff, Tenth Air Force, 1943-1945; various staff duties, 1945-1951; Commander, 1503rd Air Transport Wing, 1951-1953. Retired March 1953. Died in West, TX.
