4 Maintenance Group (ACC)

Lineage.  Established as 4 Maintenance and Supply Group on 28 Jul 1947.  Organized on 15 Aug 1947.  Discontinued on 1 Aug 1948.  Consolidated (19 Sep 1995) with the 4 Maintenance and Supply Group, which was established on 14 Jun 1948.  Activated on 1 Aug 1948.  Inactivated on 8 Dec 1957.  Disestablished on 27 Sep 1984.  Reestablished, and redesignated as 4 Logistics Group, on 17 Apr 1991.  Activated on 22 Apr 1991.  Redesignated as 4 Maintenance Group on 30 Sep 2002.

Assignments:  4 Fighter (later, 4 Fighter-Interceptor; 4 Fighter-Bomber; 4 Fighter-Day) Wing, 15 Aug 1947-8 Dec 1957.  4 Wing (later, 4 Fighter Wing), 22 Apr 1991-.
