Redesignated as: 12 Air Base Squadron (Special) on 17 Jan 194l; 12 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 13 Jun 1942. Disbanded on 30 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 12 Mission Support Squadron, on 9 May 1989. Activated on 1 Aug 1989. Redesignated as 12 Force Support Squadron on 26 Jun 2009.
