Lineage. Constituted as 425 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 20 Sep 1942. Activated on 1 Oct 1942. Disbanded on 10 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and consolidated (1 Nov 1994) with the 7241 Support Squadron, which was designated, and activated, on 1 Jul 1970. Redesignated as: 7241 Air Base Squadron on 1 Jan 1973; 7241 Air Base Group on 1 Aug 1980; 741 Air Base Squadron on 15 Jun 1993; 425 Air Base Squadron on 1 Nov 1994; 425 Air Base Group on 3 Oct 2005; 425 Air Base Squadron on 1 Jul 2009.
