Lineage.   Constituted as 58 Airdrome Squadron on 25 Jan 1943.  Activated on 1 Feb 1943.  Redesignated as 58 Airdrome Squadron (Special) on 18 Apr 1943.  Disbanded on 1 Apr 1944.  Reconstituted, redesignated as 58 Operations Support Squadron, and activated on 1 Oct 1991.
