Lineage.   Constituted as Air Force Frequency Management Center on 6 Oct 1981.  Activated on 1 Jan 1982.  Redesignated as Air Force Frequency Management Agency on 1 Oct 1991, and status changed from a subordinate unit of Air Force Communications Command (AFCC) to a Field Operating Agency of United States Air Force (USAF).  Status changed from a Field Operating Agency of USAF to a subordinate unit of Air Force Communications and Information Center (AFCIC) on 1 Apr 1997.  Status changed from a subordinate unit of AFCIC to a Field Operating Agency of USAF on 1 Oct 2000.  Status changed from a Field Operating Agency of USAF to a subordinate unit of Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) on 4 May 2009.  Redesignated as Air Force Spectrum Management Office on 15 Sep 2010.  Reassigned to Air Combat Command (ACC) on 17 Jul 2018.
