Lineage. Constituted as 404 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 6 Aug 1942. Activated on 18 Aug 1942. Disbanded on 30 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 404 Services Squadron on 31 Jul 1985. Redesignated as 404 Expeditionary Services Squadron, and converted to provisional status, on 24 Mar 2003. Redesignated as 404 Expeditionary Force Support Squadron on 17 Mar 2011.
