Lineage. Constituted as 65 Air Base Squadron (Special), and activated, on 1 Mar 1941. Redesignated as 65 Base Hq and Air Base Squadron on 13 Jun 1942. Disbanded on 30 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 65 Contracting Squadron, on 1 Jan 1992. Activated on 27 Jan 1992. Redesignated as 65 Contracting Flight on 30 Jun 2011.
