26 Aerial Port Squadron (AFRC)

Lineage.  Constituted as 16 Air Cargo Resupply Squadron on 21 Jun 1945.  Activated on 30 Jun 1945.  Disbanded on 15 Nov 1945.  Reconstituted, and redesignated as 26 Mobile Aerial Port Squadron, on 17 Mar 1983.  Activated in the Reserve on 1 Oct 1983.  Redesignated as 26 Aerial Port Squadron on 1 Apr 1985.

Assignments.  I Troop Carrier Command, 30 Jun 1945; 50 Troop Carrier Wing, 8 Oct-15 Nov 1945.  433 Tactical Airlift (later, Military Airlift; Airlift) Wing, 1 Oct 1983; 433 Operations Group, 1 Aug 1992; 433 Mission Support Group, 1 Oct 2002-.

Stations.  Lawson Field, GA, 30 Jun-15 Nov 1945.  Kelly (later Kelly Fld Annex, Lackland; Joint Base San Antonio) TX, 1 Oct 1983-.
