Lineage.  Constituted as Air Corps Detachment, Weather, Philippines, on 15 Nov 1940.  Activated on 2 Jan 1941.  Redesignated as 5 Air Corps Squadron, Weather (Regional Control) on 18 Nov 1941.  Inactivated on 2 Apr 1946.  Redesignated as 5 Weather Squadron, and activated, on 16 Jun 1966.  Organized on 8 Jul 1966.  Inactivated on 1 May 1972.  Activated on 1 Jan 1975.  Inactivated on 15 Jun 1992.  Activated on 1 Jul 1993.  Inactivated on 15 Dec 1994.  Redesignated as 5 Operational Weather Flight on 5 Oct 2004.  Activated in the Reserves on 4 Nov 2004.
