Lineage.  Established as Headquarters, 5 Weather Group on 9 Nov 1945.  Activated on 23 Nov 1945.  Inactivated on 1 Jun 1948.  Activated on 8 Feb 1954.  Redesignated as: 5 Weather Group, 18 May 1956; Headquarters, 5 Weather Group, 8 Jan 1960, (establishment status returned).  Inactivated on 18 Oct 1960.  Redesignated as 5 Combat Weather Group on 29 Apr 2022.  Activated on 5 May 2022.
