446 Security Forces Squadron (AFRC)

Lineage.  Constituted as 446 Air Police Squadron on 11 Apr 1955.  Activated in the Reserve on 25 May 1955.  Discontinued, and inactivated, on 17 Jan 1963.  Consolidated (12 Oct 1984) with the 446 Weapons System Security Flight, which was constituted on 18 Jun 1976.  Activated in the Reserve on 1 Jul 1976.  Redesignated as: 446 Security Police Flight on 15 Aug 1988; 446 Security Police Squadron on 1 Oct 1992; 446 Security Forces Squadron on 1 Jul 1997.

Assignments.  446 Air Base Group, 25 May 1955-17 Jan 1963.  446 Air Base Squadron, 1 Jul 1976; 446 Air Base (later, 446 Combat Support, 446 Support, 446 Mission Support) Group, 1 Mar 1986-.

Stations.  Ellington AFB, TX, 25 May 1955-17 Jan 1963.  McChord AFB, WA, 1 Jul 1976-.
