Lineage.  Constituted as 615 Technical School Squadron (Special) on 19 Mar 1942.  Activated on 26 Mar 1942.  Redesignated as: 615 Technical School Squadron on 4 Jan 1943; 505 Training Group on 22 Jan 1943.  Disbanded on 30 Apr 1944.  Reconstituted on 7 Jan 2004.  Activated on 12 Mar 2004.  Redesignated as 505 Test and Training Group on 1 Aug 2019.     

Assignments.  Air Corps (later, Army Air Forces) Technical Training Command, 26 Mar 1942; 52 Training Wing, 27 Feb 1943-30 Apr 1944.  505 Command and Control Wing, 12 Mar 2004-.     

Stations.  Jefferson Barracks, MO, 26 Mar 1942; Salt Lake City, UT, 22 Jul 1942-30 Apr 1944.  Eglin AF Aux Field #9 (later, Hurlburt Field), FL, 12 Mar 2004-.
