36 Munitions Squadron (PACAF)

Lineage.  Constituted 36 Aviation Depot Squadron on 5 Dec 1956.  Activated on 1 Jan 1957.  Redesignated as 36 Munitions Maintenance Squadron on 1 Jul 1960.  Discontinued, and inactivated, on 25 Jun 1965.  Activated on 8 Oct 1972.  Inactivated on 30 Oct 1979.  Redesignated as 36 Munitions Squadron on 26 Apr 2004.  Activated on 9 Jul 2004.        

Assignments.  802 Air Base (later, 802 Combat Support) Group, 1 Jan 1957; 310 Combat Support Group, 15 Jun 1960; 310 Bombardment (later, 310 Strategic Aerospace) Wing, 1 Jul 1960-25 Jun 1965.  36 Tactical Fighter Wing, 8 Oct 1972-30 Oct 1979.  36 Maintenance Group, 9 Jul 2004-.        

 

Stations.  Smoky Hill (later, Schilling) AFB, KS, 1 Jan 1957-25 Jun 1965.  Bitburg AB, Germany, 8 Oct 1972-30 Oct 1979.  Andersen AFB, Guam, 9 Jul 2004-.
